What is hypnobirthing?
You probably are aware that your mind operates in two halves, your conscious and subconscious. In hypnobirthing we educate and empower at both levels of consciousness, by utilising tried and tested hypnosis techniques. In this course, we explore your knowledge, preconceptions and fears surrounding birth, and then work together to form personalised strategies to improve your confidence, help you exercise your own agency, and tap into your own powerful instincts.
How long is your course?
The course consists of four sessions, preferably spread out over four weeks. Most people like to have their session at a particular time, on the same day each week, however there is total flexibility for you to organise the sessions around your convenience, including booking evening sessions. Each session takes between 1.30-2 hrs, depending on the depth you require. I will email you corresponding handouts and links for you to explore in your own time, and the hypnosis mp3s that correspond to each session. All of which is yours to keep. The mp3s add up to 2 hrs in total. I also provide ongoing support via whatsapp and email until the birth of your baby.
What do the sessions cover?

What does "Way of the Koi" mean?
Way of the Koi is a philosophy, not a franchise. I have the freedom to use the method to create individualised programs for my clients. This method combines mindful self-compassion, Ecotherapy and powerful Hypnobirthing techniques, resulting in a truly transformative experience for parents. Just like Koi, we learn how to overcome obstacles, and swim forward with fluid grace.
Is hypnobirthing the right choice for me?
There is a heavy amount of hand holding during the course, however the aim is for you to step into your own empowerment. So although I provide you with your hypnosis tapes, and talk you through the process, what we're aiming for is for you to eventually be able to step into self-hypnosis. Therefore you should be prepared to set aside some time for hypnobirthing work outside of our sessions, however even if you don't manage to do this you can still benefit greatly from this course. Like life in general, the more you put in, the more you get out. This means not rushing the course and leaving time to do the work, therefore I'd ask that ideally you'd be no more than 35 weeks pregnant when we start our sessions.
You don't need any previous experience of hypnosis to start, or to be able to achieve a deep state of hypnosis for the method to work.
The course is open for anybody planning any sort of birth. If you have a birthing partner they are welcome to attend as many or as little sessions as you like.
I always aim to meet you where you are, and progress from there.
How do I book?
Just send me an email with a few details about yourself, and maybe what you want to get out of the sessions, and we'll arrange a time for a free consultation over the phone. You can take your time to think about it, and get back to me when you've made up your mind. Once your happy with the arrangements I'll require payment before we start our first session.
